As most of you are aware, our state of Tasmania is experiencing devastating bushfires, causing much destruction and loss of property.
Over 100 buildings have been destroyed - the township of Dunalley was hit especially hard with only a small number of buildings still standing. People have lost everything.
As we all know, quilters want to help in some way so here at Crow Central we have organised "A Gathering of Goodness" to raise money to help those affected by this terrible tragedy. We thought by sharing this day together it would be an ideal way to raise some much needed funds.
On Saturday 19th of January we will host a day of friendship and stitching with all door takings & raffle money raised going to the Red Cross Tassie Bushfire Appeal.
The cost for the day will be $25 per head and we ask you to bring a plate to share - we will provide tea & coffee - there will be raffles drawn throughout the day from prizes donated by our generous suppliers specifically for this day. The day is about all coming together as one - it will not be a class or workshop - just a place to gather where we will be able to enjoy ourselves in the knowledge that we are helping others.
For those of you who can't make it and would like to contribute to this day you can do so - we are currently in the process with the Red Cross setting up a webpage and it will go live Tuesday 8th January - once the webpage is live we will post the link both here and our Facebook page, Quilted Crow Girls Designs.
So the details are:
Saturday 19th January
10am - 4pm
BYO plate to share - tea & coffee supplied - hand stitching only
Cost $25 per head
Bookings will be required so we have an idea of numbers
Tell your friends - the more money we can raise the better.
Don't forget we will post the Red Cross link "The Quilted Crow - A Gathering for Goodness" once it is live for those of you who still want to help but can't make it on the day.
Thank you so much for supporting us.
Until next time,
Leonie & Deirdre - The Quilted Crow Girls
